Humber Highlights - From 2008 to 2012


• Came to Humber in 2008 with senior national and global PR experience to refocus and update
  t​he PR programs and create new Bachelor of Public Relations degree.

• Updated curriculum of Humber PR programs to reflect industry trends and introduced new
  c​ourses: ​Communicating Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Media, Change Management,
  ​and Innovative Design.

• Coordinated all three Humber PR programs: Advanced Diploma, Graduate Certificate and 
  ​created the new ​Bachelor of Public Relations degree to positive industry and external academic  
  ​reviews.

• By winter 2013 will have taught nine new courses across all three PR programs: Writing Lab 5,
 ​ Communicating ​Corporate Social Responsibility, Organizational Communications, Media
​  Relations, Change Management, PR Ethics, Intro to PR, Internal Communications, Strategic
  ​Commnuciations Planning

• Raised Humber’s PR program profile in Toronto and national media.

• Obtained APEX scholarship of $ 9,000 and CNW entrance scholarship of $1000 for the new PR 
  ​degree

• Member, the Canadian Public Relations Society National PR Education Council 2009 – 2012

• Research Jury Member, the CPRS Communications + Public Relations Foundation 2012 - 2015

• Served on Humber Research Ethics Board 2008 –2010.
